| USY
is strategically divided according to location. Chapters
make up regions, and the seventeen regions of USY make up
International USY. Natick USY is part of the New England
Region of USY, more commonly known as NERUSY. Regional
events occur 1-2 times per month, and they include
dances, conventions, social action programs, trips, and
more. USYers make many of their closest friends on the
regional level, and often travel around New England to
simply visit friends from NERUSY. Each region of USY has an elected executive
board, which is much similar to a board in any given
chapter. However, in an effort to involve more people in
the "bigger picture," regions also have general
board members, who are appointed to do certain duties
under the supervision of an executive officer. For example, one general
board position is Chadashot M'Yisrael, or
Israeli News. The person assigned to this position works
with his overseeing officer, which in this case would be
the Programming / Israel Affairs Vice President. There
are dozens of other positions available in different
categories as well. For a complete list of the general
board positions, please visit the NERUSY web site.
Natick USY members are very active
in the region. For the 2005-2006 year, there were 3 Natick USYers on Regional Executive
Board and 15 Natick USYers on Regional General Board (RGB). They
are:
